NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: No Parental Controls

After playing the new World of Warcraft computer game, Wrath of the Lich King with six friends for 24 hours straight, a 15-year-old boy in Laholm, Sweden, collapsed and suffered what appeared to be an epileptic seizure, reports The Times of London. Doctors blame a combo of sleep deprivation, lack of food and the prolonged period of concentration playing the game. The boy’s father told Swedish newspaper Kvällsposten that “They played all day and all night. Maybe they got a few hours of sleep. They ate a little food and breakfast at their computers,” and says that he will now set limits on the amount of time he will allow his son to play computer games. The boy is expected to make a full recovery.
