GOODY TWO SHOES: Media Whores
Politico reports that “The New York Times, in a move to emphasize the distinctions between news and editorial content, plans on using more labels to differentiate between the two.” Great idea. But first, the reporters have to write articles that are distinguishable from opinion pieces – you know, just the facts ma’am.
Meanwhile, The New Republic published an op-ed urging Barack Hussein Obama* to “resurrect the Federal Writers Project and bail out laid-off journalists.” The Federal Writers Project (1935-1939) employed more than 6,000 out-of-work reporters, photographers, editors, critics and writers. Another great idea. Obama’s been getting the milk for free, and it’s time “journalists” started getting paid for their services.
* It’s OK to use his middle name now; The New York Times says so.
