WHAT A HEEL: FEMA Worker Was A Disaster

Former Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) employee Robert G. Davis pleaded guilty last week to one count of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft for stealing the identities of 200 people, some of them natural disaster victims, reports The Washington Post.  Davis, who opened credit accounts worth more than $150,000 and used the money to go shopping, blamed his heartless crime on drugs and childhood abuse. U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton – who called Davis's actions “lowdown” and “repulsive,” because “rather than trying to help these people, you hurt them more" - sentenced him to 64 months in prison. Davis was also ordered to $48,765.80 in restitution to Home Shopping Network and Shop NBC, among other retailers.

Editorial Note: In case you’re wondering, yes it’s that Judge Reggie Walton.
