A Ross Towhship, PA, woman who ran “Pawside Parlor,” a pet grooming business, in the basement of her home, was offering “gothic kittens” with ear, neck and tail piercings for sale on eBay, reports The Times Leader. Acting on a tip from a man who saw the eBay listing and went to the home to check out the goods, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Luzerne County removed the kitties from the home to have them checked by a vet and possibly placed for adoption. SPCA officer Carol Morrison tells the paper: “This is a first. It’s unbelievable anybody would do this to kittens.” Ditto, but The Stiletto also can’t believe that humans would do this to themselves.
