ON THE CUTTING EDGE: I-Spy The Inauguration

Reader Nick From NY sent The Stiletto this interactive panoramic view of the U.S. Capitol on Inauguration Day. You can zoom in close enough to see the expressions on the faces of all the VIPs by clicking anywhere on the photo and using the scroll button on your mouse, or by using the navigational buttons in the upper left.

The Gigapan image was made by photographer David Bergman, who was standing on the North press platform, and is comprised of 220 images (the resulting image size is 59,783 X 24,658 pixels or 1,474 megapixels).

Can you spot the bearded fellow wearing a red-and-white checkered keffiyeh? It’s like “Where’s Waldo,” only the Nine-Eleven Edition. (Hint: He’s somewhere in the vicinity of one of the media platforms – look for the satellite dishes and TV cameras.)
