NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: This Is Not The Time To Twitter
A stranger man broke into Revision3 COO David Prager's home in the middle of the night, and instead of calling the cops he posted a real-time account on Twitter over the course of about a half hour:
ok, maybe I should lock my door - I swear a random dude just walked into my bathroom and I can't believe I haven't freaked out
and I can't believe I'm tweeting about it while he is still in there - in wonder of he is sleep walking - or if maybe I should freak
ok - he's still in the bathroom and Im now thinking a combo of hobo and drunk and sleepwalking dude - he seems late 20s - hmmm what next ?
there is no TP in my bathroom - wonder if that is complicating things for him - was gonna wait for him to come out and kick him out
hmmm - should I call the cops like you guys have recommended? find a blunt object before opening the door? my gut tells me he's harmless
ok - have weapon if I need it - but don't plan on any confrontation with it - about to go in
ok - still haven't done anything - he is still in there - gonna setup a ustream now I think - standby
Eventually, the intruder left the bathroom and passed out in Prager’s bed, at which point, he posted a 10-minute live video stream at Ustream chronicling his efforts to cajole the seemingly inebriated man out of his home:
It all turned out OK in the end, but you can bet your arse Crocodile Dundee wouldn’t be Twittering at a time like this:
As Silicon Valley Insider puts it: Prager “needs to get out of Silicon Valley.” He also needs to man up.
