WHAT A HEEL: School Supplies Pawned: Police

Prince William County (MD) pawnshop records revealed that Kilmer Middle School safety and security assistant Antonio Dawson, 39, had been fencing items from the school’s lost and found and supply closets - including a carpet cleaner, a Wii, an iPod, a video camera, computer monitors and a viola, reports The Washington Post. Dawson, who has worked at the school since 2004, was charged with larceny with intent to distribute, money laundering and six counts of embezzlement and put on unpaid leave. Dawson was tasked with keeping students from smoking, drinking or parking illegally on school grounds and Mike Allen, a police officer assigned to the school, tells the WaPo that “apart from the alleged stealing” he was doing a good job.
