In a horrifying case that confirms the worst fears of those who are opposed to gay adoption, The Associated Press reports that Frank Lombard, associate director of the Center for Health Policy at Duke University was arrested (pdf) in an Internet sting and charged with offering his five-year-old adopted son for sex:

The best discussion of gays and pedophilia was by the neighbor of someone who was running for office locally and I asked him his position on gay rights. He replied he had a gay neighbor and at a neighborhood party with a fair amount of alcohol served, he told the guy "You touch my kids, I'll kill you." The guy replied that he had no interest in children, that he was attracted to adult men and "I might make a pass at you some day but never one of your kids."
