NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Language Barrier Foils Hold-Up
An armed robber who tried to hold up the clerk at an Asian food store, left empty-handed, reports the Mobile (AL) Press-Register. The clerk, Angelina Geronimo only speaks Spanish and could not understand his demands. Moses Orozco, Geronimo's son-in-law, will encourage her and her husband to get a handgun “to protect themselves.” As Geronimo was fortunate the gunman didn’t kill her out of pique before cleaning out the cash register himself, The Stiletto thinks English lessons would be as useful as a handgun.
