WHAT A HEEL: Attorney Didn’t Adequately Deliberate Actions

San Francisco attorney Francis Fahy had better things to do than to sit in a jury room while his fellow jurors worked towards breaking a deadlock in a med-mal case after 10 days of deliberations, so he changed his vote in favor of the defendant and absolved the doctor of any liability, and admitted what he had done in a signed declaration – after first lying to the judge. For that, the CA Supreme Court disbarred Fahy by a vote of 6-0, reports The Recorder, which notes that he may be “the first California lawyer to be disbarred for misbehaving as a juror.”
