NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Can You Hear Me Now?
An armed man who asked a clerk at an Office Depot store in downtown Chicago to empty out the cash register fled empty-handed when the quick-thinking employee flipped on the public address system and the robber heard his demands broadcast throughout the store, reports CNN. The bandit later successfully robbed a nearby Fannie May candy store at gunpoint.
