WHAT A HEEL: Big Money Take You To Brazil
In another bad cop case, former Santa Rosa, CA, police officer Robert Starling, 35, is a suspect in four armored-car robberies – one each in 2007 and 2008 and two this year - reports the San Francisco Chronicle. During one robbery of a Brinks guard, police received a 9-1-1 call about a possible kidnapping that they believe was meant to tie up their time and attention. Starling and his alleged accomplice, Andrew Esslinger, 26, have been arrested “on numerous counts” of armed robbery - their combined haul was $400,000 - making a false report of an emergency and using a mask or disguise to commit a felony.
