GOODY TWO SHOES: The Pot Calling The Kettle Fat
At a fund-raiser at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach last week - his 26th since taking office nine months ago - President Barack Hussein Obama claimed, “Just because I’m skinny doesn’t mean I’m not tough.” As Slate’s Timothy Noah once insisted that calling Obama “skinny” is racist - even though blacks have the highest rate of obesity (that is, the opposite of skinniness) of any racial or ethnic group in the U.S., so Obama’s skinniness is not “a black thing” - does this mean that the president’s white half is prejudiced against his black half? Or that calling NJ gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie (R) “fat” is a form of reverse racism? Maybe Noah knows.
