WHAT A HEEL: If It Ain’t Broke, He’ll Break It
Mechanic Christopher Walls, 41, of Johnson City, TN, had what he thought was a can’t-miss way to get customers: He allegedly disabled cars parked at restaurants, waited for the owners to try to start them and then charged them between $40 and $200 to get them on their way, reportsThe Associated Press. He has been charged with two counts of theft under $500, but police are asking anyone else who thinks they’ve been scammed by Walls to come forward.
