NOT THE SHARPEST KNIVES IN THE DRAWER: The Irony Curtain

So how did MTV celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall? By erecting a 6-foot-high wall to separate the 10,000 ticketholders for a free concert by Irish rock band U2 at the Brandenburg Gate from those without tickets, reports United Press International. MTV explains:

"MTV placed a temporary security fence around the site perimeter. Under no circumstances did MTV build a 'wall' of any kind in or around the U2 production site."

What is the difference between a security fence and “a wall of any kind?” Well, that night for as long as U2 sang its songs, all the celebrants could not be as one. It puts The Stiletto’s back up against the … temporary security fence.
