WHAT A HEEL: Paramedic Pinches Pain Pills

Paramedic Paul Alexander, 46, has been arrested and charged with two counts of burglary for allegedly stealing prescription pain meds from the home of a 76-year old patient he helped transport to the hospital, reports the San Jose Mercury News. Police say that Alexander returned to the victim’s home on several occasions on the pretext of needing to take an inventory of his prescriptions. On his last visit, the victim’s wife found that a bottle of pain pills in the bathroom medicine cabinet was empty.
