NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Man Takes Ambulance For Joy Ride

Nicholas Pontillo, 24, of Lake Villa, IL, was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent, disorderly conduct and operating while intoxicated for (allegedly) climbing into an ambulance and tooling around the parking lot of the Tyrol Basin Ski and Snowboard Area in Mt. Horeb, WI, while a patient was being treated in the back, reports The Lake County News-Sun (Waukegan, IL):

Fitch-Rona Emergency Medical Service Deputy Chief Dale Dow said the ambulance's emergency brake was on and paramedics were still in the back of the vehicle when the incident occurred.

Pontillo also had outstanding warrants in Kenosha County for operating after suspension of his license and failing to notify police of an accident, according to the Dane County Sheriff's Office.
