NOT THE SHARPEST KNIVES IN THE DRAWER: Crooks Wantonly Bludgeon Clerk With Beer

Dominic Julian Lujan, 23, and Demetrio Junior Rivera, 20, were arrested for (allegedly) stealing three 18-packs of Bud Light from a Loaf 'N Jug convenience store, one of which was used to hit a clerk, reports The Pueblo (CO) Chieftain:

One of the suspects also brandished a knife at store employees, an affidavit by Pueblo police officer Ronnie Nash said. …

The affidavit said police found two of the packs of beer discarded in a back yard.

Officers witnessed the suspects run into a house in the 1200 block of Euclid, which is where they hid until officers obtained a search warrant for the home.

Lujan, Rivera and the homeowner Tasha Nicole Cummings, 19, were arrested after officers entered the home.

Cummings was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. The affidavit said officers, during their search of the home, found seven Oxycodone pills which Cummings didn't have a prescription for.

The three suspects are being held in Pueblo County jail pending court appearances.
