WHAT A HEEL: Snake On A Plane
Ramesh Advani, of Berkeley Heights, NJ, has been charged with sexually abusing a sleeping woman on an overnight Continental Airlines flight flight from Hong Kong to Newark Liberty International Airport, reports The Wall Street Journal:
In a criminal complaint, prosecutors alleged that Mr. Advani reached under the blanket of a woman sleeping next to him on a Continental Airlines flight from Hong Kong and sexually abused her. Passengers sitting behind the victim kicked her seat to alert her, prosecutors said.
When the victim awoke, she became aware of the alleged abuse and informed the flight crew, prosecutors said.
U.S. District Magistrate Judge Michael A. Shipp released Advani on $100,000 bail Monday, secured with the house he and his wife own, reports NJToday.net.
If convicted, Advani can be sentenced to as much as three years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
