Epidemiologic studies usually contradict each other, and this one manages to contradict itself! Which goes to show you that you should ignore epidemiologic studies and only pay attention to double-blind longitudinal prospective clinical trials that pit one treatment modality against another treatment modality or against a placebo. And even then, consider who is funding the study via research grants that enable scientists to maintain state-of-the-art labs and armies of research assistants.
