2. Outgoing Sen. Arlen Specter (D-R-D-PA), who made it easier, not harder, to elect conservative Republican Pat Toomey to the Senate by switching sides (in the 2004 Republican primary Toomey lost to Specter 49.18 percent to 50.82 percent; yesterday, he beat Joe Sestak 51 percent to 49 percent).
3. Pot smokers. If a referendum legalizing pot can’t win in CA, it can’t win anywhere.
