So this woman wants to rob a Chevron gas station in Modesto and disguises herself as a man by putting on a dark knit cap and dark baggy clothing and drawing a beard on her face with a black marker. When she demands money from Rahda Sharma, the station’s owner, she deepens her voice to sound tough. But Sharma wasn’t fooled, KOVR-TV (Channel 13, Sacramento) reports:
“He was like ‘No, no it’s a real beard.’ I was like ‘No, it’s definitely a fake beard drawn on,’” said Sharma. …
She only got away with a small amount of cash before pedaling off on her getaway bike.
Sgt. Rick Applegate of the Modesto Police Dept. wants viewers to be on the lookout for a woman with “some dark black marks on her face or it looks like she painted her face,” because “there’s a pretty good chance that could be our suspect.”
