NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Bank Robber Should Have Gotten His Latte To Go

Lawrence Petitta, a 52-year-old transient literally had to rob a bank before enjoying a Starbuck’s latte, KNTV (Channel 11, San Jose, CA) reports:

[H]e allegedly walked into a California Bank and Trust … and walked away with $1,100 in cash, after threatening a teller with a gun.

A little after 9:30, an officer found a man who matched the description of the robber sitting at a Starbucks around the corner, reading a newspaper. …

While the officer was waiting for a back up, Lawrence Petitta, the man suspected of robbing the bank, walked into the Starbucks' bathroom to shave his facial hair and change his clothes.

The police were waiting for Petitta when left the bathroom. He wasn’t armed but had $1,100 on him. Well, minus what he paid for that latte one assumes.
