WHAT A HEEL: Killer Heel
During an argument about their puppy, Thelma Carter, 46, allegedly smashed live-in boyfriend, Robert Higdon, 58, in the head with the stiletto heel of her shoe, killing him, The Augusta (GA) Chronicle reports.
Carter said she left the trailer after an argument and returned to find him dead. However, police believe that she put her shoe back on and left the scene before reporting the death. Police also believe alcohol was involved.
Carter has been charged with murder. The Augusta Crime Lab will conduct an autopsy to determine, amongst other things, how many times Highdon was struck with the shoe before he died.
