NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Burning Ring Of Fire
A 47-year-old woman who has been separated from her husband for about a month went to her father-in-law’s home to torch it and her estranged husband’s travel trailer, which was kept on the property. She poured gasoline inside the trailer and ignited it while she was still inside, The Birmingham (AL) News reports:
There was a small explosion and she was burned on her extremities, as well as other body parts, said Jefferson County sheriff's Chief Deputy Randy Christian. …
When questioned by a deputy at the hospital, the woman admitted to the arson and said she and her husband have been separated for about a month, Christian said. The woman has not been charged, he said.
"There seems to be some extreme anger going on here," Christian said. "She is very fortunate that she survived the fire and we were relieved to find that no one was inside either structure."
For some reason, the woman – whose name has not been released to protect the criminally stupid – had taken the 3-year-old daughter of a friend or relative with her on her vengeful errand. Fortunately, the little girl was unharmed.
