Dope pets police dog
NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Kelly Simpson, 48, of Binghamton, NY, was walking down the street when he happened upon K-9 Tarah on foot patrol with an Endicott police officer. The dog-lover just couldn’t help himself, and petted the dog. The good doggie, good doggie, detected the odor of narcotics on Simpson, which prompted the police officer to ask him a few questions.
Simpson gave it up – the pot in his pocket, too – and was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, The Binghamton Press & Sun Bulletin reports.
Simpson was given an appearance ticket and released.
