Cop in line right behind convenience store robber
NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Stephen Daniel, 21, walked into a gas station convenience store in GA and demanded that the clerk empty out the register:
Daniel: “Yo. Give me all the money in the (expletive) register. Right now! Give me all the money in the (expletive) register.”
Cashier: “Why?”
Daniel: “Because I said so.”
The cashier knew something that Daniel didn’t and started cracking up as he put the money in the bag. In fact, the whole store knew something Daniel didn’t find out until it was too late: There was a cop in uniform standing behind him the whole time watching the crime go down, reports GossipOnThis.com:
“The manager was laughing at the time he was putting the money in the bag because he was looking at me over the guy who was robbing him,” Lt. B.W. Brown said. “I know what was going on, but he’s not dumb enough to do this with me standing right behind him.”
“I’m standing right behind him. I got a hold of him by the shoulder and placed him under arrest for robbery. It was a comedy type thing,” Lt. Brown said, adding, “In 34 years, I have never had one happen the way this one did.”
Daniel was charged with “robbery by fear.” You can see him in action on the store’s surveillance footage.
