What can Brown do for you?

NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: Amy Leigh Brown, 35, of Scooby Doo Drive in Marion, NC, sent a text message to someone she thought was a client: "Hey it's Amy. Do you want business tonight?"

The recipient of the text, Deputy P.V. Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff's Office, most certainly did want to do business and told her to meet him at a local truck stop.

She texted back that she had some "bones" (AKA Xanax), and Alkire responded that he wanted 10 pills.

When Alkire met up with Brown at the truck stop, she deleted all the texts and denied sending him any messages. The deputy called the number the texts came from and – ruh-roh! – her cell phone rang.

Brown had 25 Alprazolam (generic Xanax) pills on her, and was charged with one felony count of possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance, reports The McDowell News. She was taken into custody in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
