Husband calls cops when wife and new girlfriend get to his home at the same time
NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: After they met on Craigslist and chatted on Facebook and over the phone for a couple of weeks, Kevin Gaylor, 24, invited a coed to his home so they could "get better acquainted." As luck would have it, his wife came home unexpectedly at almost the exact same time as she got there, and Gaylor practically slammed the door in the student’s face. But she had travelled an hour from Denver to Colorado Springs in snowy weather and wasn’t about to turn back without an explanation, so she stayed in the truck of the friend who had driven her – no doubt debating how to handle his incredibly rude behavior. So Gaylor did what any two-timing husband would do – he called 9-1-1, ABC News reports:
[He claimed] he was the victim of a home intrusion, stating “someone is trying to get into the apartment” and he “saw a gun,” said Colorado Springs Police spokeswoman Barbara Miller. …
Police knocked on Gaylor’s door, and he answered, speaking “very, very softly like he didn’t want anyone to know,” Miller said, telling police to “just get rid of her.”
The officers asked if anyone else was home and “he said my wife is here but I didn’t want her to know anything,” Miller said.
The disappointed college student told police she “had no idea he was married,” Miller added, and said she had spoken to Gaylor for four hours before arriving.
Gaylor was charged with the misdemeanor of false reporting to authorities and faces a fine. At the judge’s discretion, he could also be sentenced to up to a year in jail. He should start praying that a female judge isn’t assigned to hear his case.
