NV DMV clerk sold driver’s licenses to illegals
WHAT A HEEL: Former NV Department of Motor Vehicles clerk Nancy Brown, 28, pleaded guilty in federal court to a federal bribery charge for taking as much as $120,000 in exchange for providing illegals with driver's licenses from February 2010 through April, Las Vegas Review-Journal reports:
Brown used third parties to recruit individuals, and, in most cases, the customers paid the bribe to the third party, who in turn paid Brown, the plea agreement said.
Her customers were instructed to sit in the lobby close to her window, where she would motion to them when she was ready.
The customers obtained the licenses without providing or producing any identifying documents, Brown admitted.
The 214 licenses Brown doled out were canceled, and some have been recovered. At her sentencing on March 6th, she could get as much as 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
