Teen applies for job at business he tried to rob
NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER: When 17-year old Cody Conner tried to stick up Cupid's Corner in DeBary, FL, the clerk convinced him to apply for a job at the sex shop instead so he could earn the money he said he needed to help his grandparents make ends meet. Corner had put his real name on the application, The Daily Mail (London) reports:
Officers found him walking the streets a few blocks from the shop.
He confessed to the attempted robbery and was arrested.
He claimed the gun, which police haven't found, was a BB gun and that he never intended to shoot anyone.
